SS Risk Assessment

My OH was recently convicted for a conversation with a decoy online. Isolated incident and no other evidence found on devices etc. We are awaiting sentencing but probation have said they will be recommending a community order and they see no risk.
Ideally, we would like to be together with our children (aged 5 and 3). We have just had our initial meeting with our allocated SW who essentially said that she can't see him with allowed to have an unsupervised time with the children whilst on the SOR - is this what other people have experienced? Also, in terms like f me supervising at night, how ahve other people managed this? When I asked her this question she said "well, they don't usually live together". What are other peoples experience of this?
It feels like she has made her mind up before any assessment has been done. He's been engaged in private therapy for the last 2 years and all agencies involved deem him very low risk. PPOs who visited said they see no risk and would expect to visit once a year.
I feel terrified of saying the wrong thing to SS. Is it the SW who is involved with us the person who makes the final decision?

I should probably add that police, probation and PPOs all have no problem with him being at home with our children.
I have to supervise still (not legally just agreed with SS) but we are allowed overnight stays. The way it works is basically when my toddler wakes up, I am the one who goes not him. She usually wakes once or twice and thats it.
Other then that its the same as its always been - I follow him around like his little shadow if he has our daughter and shes dragging him off to play.
Im hoping over time we can move away from supervised contact despite living together. Once probation are happy with him, I think SS will be happier.
