At a loss as to what to do

My dad, for a small 2 week period was stung by an online group. Me and my family are devastated by this and we are trying to navigate our way through this, we have lost our dad who used to do everything for us that we asked.
My dad is now on bail and not in the family home, however, he has nowhere else to go so has been in a hotel for a long while now which is not sustainable.
Although he has done this horrible thing I feel I still need to be there and support as best I can, which isn't easy and not good for mental health and trying to move forward.
I really need some advice on how to get him some accommodation like a 1 bedroom flat or something. How do I go about this as the letting agency's ask so many questions these days.

My person found accommodation on Gumtree hes renting a caravan on a site for £180 a week

Hi I'm sorry this has happened and must be a massive shock to you all. My now ex spent a month in hotels, YMCA and also sleeping in his car. He is now in an HMO at £550 a month with a ensuite and all bills Inc so this may be an option for him. Hope this helps take care x

I would suggest that whilst he's on bail he has no convictions to declare, so he might be in a better position to secure something now than later down the line. Some letting agencies will probe, others don't, so all I can say is just try and see where you get. There are websites you can use where you rent directly from the landlord and 'I think' these are easier options with less hoops to jump through when you're in this situation.
If he's still working that will really help and if not someone in the family could potentially help with a deposit or act as a guarantor.
My OH was homeless for a month sleeping down country roads in his car, and it was the most horrendous time. It's so important that they find a sense of stability to give them a sense of hope for the future.
