Help, what do these charges mean?

The wording points to a case involving two entirely separate types of offenses: intimate image abuse (often referred to as "revenge porn" or blackmail) and the making/possession of indecent images of children.
Threatening to share a photo of a person in an intimate state means that someone has told someone else that they were going to distribute a sexual, nude or highly private photo of them without their consent. It doesn't matter if the photo is non existent, it's the threat that is the illegal act.It also applies to 'deep fakes' if it appears to represent the victim of the threat.
Category C images are indecent or sexualized images of children that do not depict explicit sexual acts, for example suggestive posing, or children who are partially or fully unclothed in an inappropriate, sexualized context and 'visually unique' means the photo is new and the police have no record of it already on their database.
Category A is a charge for making or possessing indecent images of children at the highest severity tier and depicts explicit, penetrative sexual activity, severe sexual abuse, sadism, or explicit distress inflicted upon a child.

We had similar - got 18 months for private images without consent and 18 months for 9 cat B found in cache, suspended for 2 years. However, every Judge is different (good, bad & ugly) and every case is handled differently depending on remorse, mitigation and rehabilitation efforts...oh and most importantly, depending on the quality and expertise of the defense solicitor you have (of which there are also good, bad & ugly).
Wishing you all the best lovely. I know how hard it is when your desperate to find a comparison and apply some logic in the chaos of your mind, but sadly in my experience this process and journey is neither logical or equal, so it ends up a bit like weeing in the wind! Xx
