Hi,

I have been quiet on this forum and reading everyone's stories, which are so upsetting and awful. There are so many affected by this whole thing! As we wait for the process to complete and it seems like we are nearly there, my young person now has a court date and then the rest of the worry and the problems begins.

I am petrified, petrified of what will happen to him, 3 charges in totalll. I am fearful of what his future life looks like, what the consequences will be.

I am fearful of the press releasing stuff and wondering how to prepare and I am fearful for my job as I am a teacher. I haven't said anything to my employers as the police officer and solicitor said it didn't affect me, so I didn't need to say anything, he said my job is fine.

But now I am scared, if anything is released in the media, will I loose my job as I haven't said anything before or will I loose my job if I tell them? I am in complete turmoil, trying to support my family as well.

And also feeling angry, Why should my income and career be affected by someone else's behaviour?

if anyone has advice, please share. My close family members are convinced I shouldn't say anything, school policies say if it is me to disclose, doesn't mention family members.
