Successful Media Restriction Request?

Hi,
My partner has pleaded guilty and will be sentenced in around 4 weeks. He is having a pre-sentencing report done next week and is considering a private psychiatric report.
My partner was arrested 2 years before I met him, for speaking to a 15 year old who had given an older adult age. The charges for communication were dropped as she admitted to this and had not made the complaint herself.
He did however have IIOC, and extreme pornography involving animals. The counts were approx 40 Cat C, 20 Cat B and 12 Cat A. He was in his early 20s at the time and was struggling with his mental health. He has said that he found no pleasure in the animal images but looking at them helped to degrade himself enough for him to feel better about ending his life. When the knock came, he had been doing better for some months and had forgotten about the photos. In hindsight he wishes he had never done it and had instead sought support for his mental health.
There are many mitigating factors, such as him engaging in mental health support in recent years, his age at the time, mental health, possible ADHD/ autism, and very clear genuine remorse.
He has been on an order since the arrest to replace bail conditions which were adjusted to allow contact with under 18s given the offences were online and the police not feeling that a proportionate risk was evident. This allowed him to continue in his sport.
My partner is more concerned about the impact of his sentencing on his family and myself, than his is himself. I have already lost my job after sharing the information (I was due to train to be a social worker and after sharing with my workplace so a fitness to practice or risk management could be implemented, they withdrew the offer without a second thought despite exemplary conduct for 2 years and that i do not live with my partner). He plays a relatively niche sport which is growing in the UK however nationwide the community is tight knit. His younger brother also plays and should the information come to light, my partner would be unable to return to the sport and neither would his brother. The police have advised him to mention his sport in the pre sentencing report as it is considered positive in preventing reoffending. Similarly, he is worried he will lose his job and career which he has worked hard for. His employers are unaware, and he does not work with vulnerable groups. There are apprentices in his workplace however he does not come into regular contact with them so it seems unlikely the police would need to notify his work, however if they find out from the media- he is not convinced they would continue his employment.
Has anyone successfully requested media restrictions for sentencing. He struck lucky for his plea hearing at magistrates as no media turned up, however it is much more likely they will be there for his sentencing at crown court.
Any advice would be good. He is not as upset about the impacts on himself or his employment as he has accepted it is a consequence of his actions, however he is worried about the impact on myself and his family moving forward.

No advice unfortunately, very interested to see what people have to say, as my husband is much the same. Worried about the impact to mine, and his mums careers as we both work in education. We all have a very unique surname. He's terrified of the impact to our daughter in future also
