Hi. My partner has a non-contact IIOC conviction (12 months suspended for two years). His SHPO allows supervised contact with under-18s. He's completed therapy, Lucy Faithfull, SAA, and a probation ADHD course.

He's had letter-only contact with his son for several years and now wants to apply for supervised contact. His ex-wife opposes this, CAFCASS says it'll be a long process, and Cumbria contact centres won't supervise because of his conviction.

Has anyone found an alternative when contact centres refused? And has anyone moved from indirect to supervised contact in similar circumstances? How has this affected the child involved?
