19 Year old arrested

This week, we got the knock and it has been the most upsetting and life altering experience we have ever had. Not sure how we are going to get through it to be honest but trying to make sense of things.
Our son was initially given warning as evidence was based on his activity the police had when he was 17 but during this meeting in our house they asked to see his phone and he had been doing it regularly since he turned 18 (now 19). They then arrested him and seized his phone and laptop. He has diagnosis from when he was 9 years old for neurodivergence. Hopefully this will go in his favour at court. I am not sure if he would survive prison, does anyone know if they send people this age to prison or would it be suspended sentence? Anyone got experiences with outcomes for similar age? He had mix of categories of a, b and c and was also trading / sharing i believe
feeling very lost will probably post again soon, any advice most welcome

Sorry you find yourself here. How are you feeling today?
It's certainly a rollercoaster of emotions. Take one day at a time is probably the best advice I can give. Some days are better than others.
Have you spoken to he helpline yet?. I found them before this forum and found talking to a human really helpful in trying to understand everything and were able to answer questions to.
Did you son have legal representation when he was questioned? Did he have an appropriate adult with him being a vulnerable person?.
I guess he has now been bailed pending devices checks?. Has he spoken about it yet or shut down?.

Thanks Beach 2000, I appreciate your comments. No he didn't have legal represenatation at the time as one was not available but luckily they decided to release him on bail without interview and call him back to interview so we will have then.
Taking one day at a time, it isnunbelievable how much it changes everything, all our hopes and dreams have disappeared, we will ahve to find the new normal. The helpline has been very helpful and a great support. Just preying we can find our way through this
