Hi all
I am looking for some advice please. I have been dating someone for a few months now and a couple of days ago I found out he was arrested a few years ago for engaging online with a decoy 13 year old and was suspended sentence which ended last year and he is on register and has a SHPO as well for ten years.
He is not aware I know about this and I don't know how to go about saying I know. I know I want to stay with him and I want him to be able to trust me enough to tell me but I said to him other day is there anything important I should know and he said no

I'm so sorry
Your partner hasn't been truthful with you.
It is a big thing and maybe they're waiting to see how the relationship develops before they tell you.
However; this will have a big impact on your relationship and your life together.
Do you have any children? Or do you want children? If so be prepared for social services to be involved.
Do you work with children or vulnerable people as this may cause issues with your career in the long term.
I think you need to bring up the topic and ask him for full disclosure, what happened, what is the doing to work on himself and prevent it happening in future. What are his restrictions and how would that likely affect your future.
Only you can decide what to do from then on- however the fact he didn't tell you is a big red flag.
