Do social services have to be involved? My husband pleaded guilty, not sentenced yet but bailed. We have 2 2 young children.
The dreaded call from social services or the impromptu meetings just make everything worse and they haven't really been helpful or supportive in any way.

Hi There- Yes they will have to be involved unfortunately. Regardless of whether the plea is guilty/not gulity its the fact that risky behaviour has been shown by a parent and SS have to evaluate that risk.
Where are you currently up to with SS- they don't tend to be that involved if bail conditions are in place as they see that as a protective factor enforced by the police/criminal court.
