Overly nosey probation?

Hi folks,
Does anyone have experience of probation going beyond the conditions of notifications and asking about their childs new partner?
No SHPO in place, community order training, and both are over 20 years old. Unlock.org advised me it is none of their business and not to share any such details. They advised Probation can be v pushy and try to scare you into sharing details. It was a huge relief when i advised sharing unnecessary.
