Frightened for my children

partner arrested almost 3 weeks ago, and not living here anymore. I have two children under 11 and my main concern is how this is going to affect them after sentencing/media attention. I am literally terrified how this will impact them as we live in a small town where news travels fast and everyone knows everything.
please can anyone offer any support on this to help me stop spiralling about it? I want to move away but I don't know if disrupting the children would also upset them? I feel so trapped.

Most cases don't get media attention unless they are high profile people or at the sensational end of the crime, though some do of course. Last I heard it was about 10%.
You could 'move' into a b and b for a few days around court time if it would make you feel more secure, perhaps.
