Do CPS always do it or is sometimes straight from the police? (Sorry for the confusion).

I believe all sexual offence cases are required to be passed to CPS..

The CPS is responsible for making the decision in cases involving sexual offences. The police investigate allegations but they do not have the authority to make the charging decision in these cases.

Thank you very much both. Just to clarify that CPS therefore also need to be the ones to say if "NFA"?
