Hi,
husband was given a 1 year suspended sentence 5 year SHPO.
We have an 18 month old very long story he committed the crime in Feb 2023 before baby and marriage heard anything from the police from Feb2024- Jan 2026 in that time he was under investigation we had for married and had a baby.
It's been very messy from the police as we only had a visit from SS in September this year when he pleaded guilty. It was in possession of indecent around 180 in total.
So we had a family holiday booked to haven this December and he sent confirmation to his officer today who has then said about the T&Cs soemthing we both never even thought about and we have booked this last year.
He's had a tough day with his first probation meeting and basically she was shocked our child is in our care and made some rude comments.
im very new to all this and today this has taken it back and I've not stopped crying (trauma from everything as well) court was only 22/10.
sorry soo long to get on the point where do you guys holiday as we were playing on booking 4 day trips to haven and butlins but obvs feel we can't do this now because of T&Cs and hubby doesn't want to get in any further trouble.
He has no conditions on the SHPO our daughter is allowed with him and we have been signed off by SS.
just advice I've been crying all night with jsut worrying what our holidays will look like now.

So sorry they've not fully explained the implications of your persons SHPO and restrictions. Some countries won't allow convicted offenders a visa, others do but they may get stopped and questioned at the airport which can be stressful.
anywhere that is a "family oriented" business catered or tailored to kids probably will have clauses preventing offenders from booking for the safety of the other children. Things like butlins, haven, pontins, center parcs, Disney, Alton towers and Legoland. But others on the forum have had luck with smaller local businesses and I think air b&b are a good one-some of those are on farms and attached to petting zoos or play parks for your children.
Have you tried the unlock charity website; they might have more info on places that you could holiday. Or Whatabout your persons offender manager-surely they must know.
Failing that maybe you could do day trips as a family and do overnights with a bigger family group (without dad); send him on a boys weekend the same time so you e got your "reason" if nobody knows about the offending.
Your little one shouldn't miss out on normal experiences like family holidays. Hope you manage to get something sorted.
