Just thinking way into the future when a person's conviction is spent are they still seen as an offender by the professionals? I.e if husband was on register then daughter or son have a baby would social services be involved even if husband has finished being on the register?

I'm not entirely sure of this rainbow. I think once his registration is over it is over. There are travel restrictions still but I think that's it. Maybe ask his PO? X

Hi Rainbow

These are the questions pop up in my mind too but I have been told by professionals that once Social services close there case then there will be no involvement in future. Not even if we try for more kids.

Thanks for the replies. Yes I will check with his officer. SS have closed our case at the moment but said I need to contact the if anything changes. I would like him to gradually get more access, to be able to take kids out etc but I just dont know how to approach the situation without them thinking I'm not being protective. My kids are 15 so they are at an age where they understand etc plus the charge my husband got was for a low case which I dont even think SS have looked into. They just see one word then treat everyone the same. I understand yes they have all done the same thing but it does come down to the how long it was happening and how many etc.
