Following my husbands arrest for grooming a young teenager he is now completing Lucy Faithful course online for 3 hours over the next 2 days. I'm absolutely terrified that the report that will be written following it will allow him free access to our girls. Currently he still has to be supervised. SS are still involved but the offense is not going any further despite having seen the child so many time, spending loads of money on gifts, sending inappropriate messages. I'm so worried that he will be given freedom to see the girls when they are terrified too.

Idoes anyone have any advice or experience of how these reports work?

Hi sparkle.

Lucy faithful is a charity and their input can help judges with decisions and maybe SS. Tho SS and probation will do their own assessments. Sounds like he is getting a private risk assessment done to support his case (not sure from your post if he pre or post sentence/charging).

My partner did try to get visitation for his kids and was told he would need a risk assessment, but he has yet to go back to the courts over this. Depending on what your exs report says maybe used for the family courts to make their decision. But in my partner's case they also wanted to wait until sentencing before any further action. Overall I would say that in my experience it is unlikely your ex would have unsupervised visiting if you are against it and he is viewed as a risk. I suggest voicing your concerns to SS to get clarity.
