my husband was arrested on Friday. I have not seen him since as he was bailed to his mums and has today been admitted onto a mental health ward due to severe suicidal thoughts. I didn't think lock down could get any worse. My brain has so much in it. I constantly feel sick and tearful. I have 2 girls he was step dad to and I'm petrified of what their dad will say when he needs to know. I just feel broken.

Hi

This is an awful situation to be in, you need to try and look after yourself in all of this. You need to stay as strong as you can for your children.

Can you get in touch with your doctor, they will be able to help you with some support and also ring the helpline. They are amazing and will offer you advice to get you through these first few weeks.

This is a long dark road but you will get nothing but support on this forum

Please make sure you and the kids are okay above everything else.

Take care xx

SCBLHL, you will find lots of non judgemental support here. And as bad as it feels at least your husband is getting help now. Nothing will happen quickly so try to take it slowly for yourself. Do visit or talk to your GP, mine was so sympathetic when I was in shock after my husband's arrest. Definitely contacted the helpline they are amazing. I'm so sorry you had to go through this. Remember it's not your fault, you have no responsibility for what your partner has done. Try taking slow deep breaths when you feel panicky. Sending you positive thoughts x x

I was updated by his sister he was discharged after assessment im just so worried. He was arrested for accessing content in 2017 and swears there has been nothing since. If that is true, and at this stage I believe him, then with a lot of hard work he can get back on track some how but doesn't see that right now. I'm waiting for a call from a GP this morning for me.
