Many thanks to all those who replied, sorry i haven't replied personally to them as since the lockdown i have been inundated with looking after the kids, homeschooling and also trying to get our transfer through to our actual county we live in.
So.... We had our transfer conference yesterday and the new LA has decided that me and my husband have done so much to help our case such as counselling, SAA attendance for my husband and safeguarding courses that we were absolutely fine to go back on CIN. This was unexpected, and we were ready to wrestle with them but actually I felt really listened to and actually because we were all on the phone rather than in person it was better. No one was looking over each others shoulders to see what they had written the risk down as etc.
The chair was really forthcoming with our case, and recommended that we go down to CIN and then everybody followed suit. EVEN OUR CURRENT SOCIAL WORKER.
She fumbled quite a bit with everything, and was challenged on several occasions by the chair as to why the LA hadn't even performed basic assessments. This was i hate to say quite satisfying as we have really suffered under our LA, so i did feel like a bit of justice had prevailed. Obviously things can still change in the future but for once, i really feel listened to. Our new social worker seems to be upset by our lack of progression in the system, and assessments are necessary for everyone. She even seemed perplexed why we were not encouraged to be husband and wife, and hopes to set us on the right track.
Lets see how this goes!
So the new CIN is now on its inception, and I would love to know what birthing under a CIN would be like.
Many thanks to everyone who replied, and I hope this small story can provide a bit of positivity to those who are stuck in their own hell.
