Hi this is just a general post to ask anyone's experience of going on holiday or travelling after the legal process is finished and any restrictions on certain countries we can't visit etc?

My partner and I have yet to go on holiday since his sentencing. We had hoped to go somewhere this year but the pandemic has put a stop to that. But from what we know from the set restrictions in the paper work is that he has to let the police know within 2 weeks where he is going, including hotels and likely flights (to prove intention to return). Travel restrictions include in the UK. If my partner is staying somewhere that isn't home address he informs the police.

Police have the right to deny travel and each country has their own rules. America is one where I'm pretty sure no convictioned sex offenders can visit. The details can be found online. Also best to avoid sex tourist hotspots because that will raise eyebrows e.g thailand

Hi

I second with whatever Majestictopaz said. I believe there are countries like America, canana and Australia who don't let sex offenders in even if person is off register.

We have been to various places within Uk and few places in Europe and no questions were asked. Obviously we always have to inform police in advance about travel plans which is not a big deal.
