Could someone explain to me why the internet sites that contain illegal images of children are not dealt with in the same way as people who have viewed those said images, often not because they seek them? Surely they should be closed down for possession and making? The owners of these sites should be labelled as Paedophiles, their income lost, their families put through hell and they should be arrested and charged and sent to prison?!!! I’m sure if that threat was there they’d take more action to stop this stuff, any sexual stuff, going on line.

These sites are not on the dark web, they are there for all to view, including children!

Sorry, rant over!!!

I agree Lost123. It's the faces of the owners on these sites that need to be shown everywhere. So far. No images have been found on husbands devices, but I know he was on these sites chatting away with 'adults', all who should know better. These are very dangerous for anyone with mental health issues. It's like a drug pusher. Also the vigilantes, for it is them Thant have completely ruined my life and those of families and friends, when do they get punished? Using an adult mind to infiltrate other adult minds and then allegedly inform their age??? This seems to be acceptable too. Where on earth has any sensible and rational thinking gone?
Have you read this paper, re 'innocent' people going through this? Interesting https://www.law.ox.ac.uk/sites/files/oxlaw/the_impact_of_being_wrongly_accused_of_abuse_hoyle_speechley_burnett_final_26_may.pdf

Also I cant understand why animal cruelty isnt treated in the same way. Awful when people put videos on sites to raise awareness etc but it doesnt stop people watching them or those those people watching to get a conviction!

Ages ago SS said they thought my husband was a risk because he saw the indecent images so if I voluntarily watch a soap on TV it means that I am more likely to murder someone, get involved in drugs, kidnap someone, have my neighbour's baby.... the list goes on

Lost123, I wish I knew when this will be over!! Now 9 months. Phones and home laptops and tablets all checkex. No images, but conversations to be checked out, I'm guessing mostly vigilantes! But now police have decided to send off his work laptop and hard drive, which they have had all the time, there will be nothing on there. It really feels like they are working hard to try and support vigilantes, proving guilt, and not doing a 'fair' or 'normal' investigation. It seems as well as the public believing vigilante so do police!!!

I have said before but I have lost all faith in the whole justice system. This event has taken all our finances. He lost his job. We have both been vilified. Solicitors do not seem to be very proactive in any area other than sending bills. There is no one in the system on our side.

I now know he was communicating with women and meeting them for Hans jobs in the lead up to his arrest as he went out of control during a breakdown. This is marriage breaking stuff in any event, but to be exposed so publicly has made it almost unbearable.
