How long for media to report?

Just a quick questions for those in the know. How long typically does it take for Media to report a case if there going to do so? Im wondering when I can start to relax if I haven't hear anything after a week?

sure it definitely depends on where you live and if theres any other news, my partners plea hearing came online the next day. Then when he was sentenced it came out about 5 days later going into sordid details of the case, it was torture wondering if and when it would come out, then a week after that article the paper added his photo to the same article obviously just to drum up more publicity and rub salt in the wound.
i must say though it was the not knowing if it would come out that was the worst feeling, on edge all the time, now over a month has past and I feel I can relax, who knows knows and it's starting to feel like old news.

so my son is being charged on wednesday, the DI has told me he has to be strong so that he is not held on remand, i am concerned that the court is 5 mins away from where i live, i can not have my address published as i live in a bad place where guns are the norm, if my address is in the media we are dead

charges been put back till monday, i'm becoming seriously can't cope with this anymore xx
I know exactly how you feel, as weeks have gone on more and more crap comes up and I just think when will this misery end.

Hi jake, I have been following the forum since October but haven't shared my story. I am a mum who is 5 years in and my son re-offended last year , not Iioc like first time but a comment on a social media platform which broke his conditions. He is 7 months into a 18 month prison sentence. He will be out in 8 weeks then do another 9 months on licence. I have been through this heartbreak and process twice and wonder how I'm still here. Your post touched me. I have been talking to Luxy on mumsnet and if I can help in anyway, I will. That goes for any other mums too.
