Hi i'm a 19yo student and i have a young sister who's aged 15yo , as the new generation began , my young sister is using her phone casually surfing the net as all the kids do , recently someone has been threatning her (dead threats) , i had to make some researches and found out that he's a 27yo male who lives not even 200km away from her , the country my sister lives in is Morocco , i finished my high school at an early age and had to move out to the united states to finish my career , this guy ended up visiting her at her own school , stalking her and taking pictures of her from a distance and sent it to her , i don't know if many of you know this but in Morocco the law is kinda messed up , sexual offenders don't get their punishmenet they ended up reporting him but nothing happened , i kept searching and ended up finding his phone number which is number deleted , i shared the phone with many other friends to make him stop , during this corona outbreak , there is no way i could even go back to Morocco and do something about it , if y'all can be that supportive , give him calls and help us stop this once and for all .
You need to report it to the UK police or even the American police. Report it as stalking and keep chasing it.
Hi Nacer,
Thank you for getting in touch with the forum for support with what sounds like a very distressing situation for you and your sister. I can understand your want to get help and support to stop this individual from harassing your sister. However, unfortunately this forum is not the most appropriate place to do this, as this forum is a safe place for the family, friends and partners of those who have committed online sexual offences against children. Additionally, this forum is run by the Lucy Faithfull Foundation which is located in the UK, not the US or Morocco.
Therefore, I would suggest you continue trying to report this to the Moroccan authorities. You may also wish to call our sister agency, Stop It Now! USA on 1.888.PREVENT where they an provide you with further information and advice as to how to support your sister. I would also suggest you encourage your sister to block this individual on social media as well as block their phone number, this would stop this individual being able to contact her. It would also be worth her reviewing her privacy settings on social media and not allowing stranger to follow her, this would ensure individuals she does not know cannot contact her.
Additionally, according to our forum rules we do not allow the sharing of personal information for safety reasons, therefore I have removed the phone number you posted. If you have any further questions about the advice above or your current situation please feel free to contact us anonymously via our secure email service which you can access here: https://contactus.stopitnow.org.uk/
Thanks,
Lucy
