Hello,

After the knock, how long did it take for social services to set up supervised access between children and father? What kind of time frame did you experience? Thank you x

Hiya

everycase is different but social worker is likely to check your ability to safeguard your children then they may say you are able to supervise the contact but unlikely to agree until done their assessment if dad is not living at the family home and obviously depends on the accusations.

Thank you for your reply. We are 7 weeks down the line and still no contact allowed at present.

My husband was allowed 4 hours a day supervised contact within a week of him being interviewed. What are your husbands bail conditions? Have you had a visit from SS? 7 weeks is a very long time... I imagine your children are struggling with this?

His bail conditions say he is able to have supervised access, but then ss swooped in and say not yet. We've had 2 quick visits but nothing for a month now. I contacted them 3 weeks ago (4 weeks on) to see if he could visit on my eldests birthday but they again said no. Have spent the last 3 weeks trying to get in contact with ss with no one replying which is extremely frustrating and not helping the situation. It's like we've been forgotten...

Gosh that's awful. Have you not got a named social worker? Ours started an assessment almost immediately. I know SS are overwhelmed but this sounds ridiculous and not fair on your children. I haven't used them but it may be worth you ringing the Children's legal centre and getting some advice as quite clearly SS aren't doing their job!

Hi my husband has been arrested and under investigation for potential inappropriate touching of his step daughter but I saw and heard nothing neither did her sisters, she does lie a lot an I'm finding it hard to believe! SS will not allow fave to fave visits at a different home with 3 additional adults supervising, bail conditions state no unsupervised contact with a child under 16 and they just keep changing what they say. I'm frustrated as my children (his birth children) are emotionally a mess and one keeps trying to hurt themselves.
How can I 5 weeks down the line try to resolve this?

Finally have a cin meeting booked in for Wednesday (8 weeks down the line) aparently our social worker had left! Could anyone give me a brief idea of what happens at your first one? Will supervised contact etc be discussed?
