I know this has probably been raised before but I wonder when professionals will start to support or if indeed anyone is getting support.

Offenders who are in prison for other things get help and support but I dont feel people do for this situation.

To stop reoffending, people need support. How is not having contact with your own children, leaving the family home going to give anyone a positive outlook on life. Ss are quick to take these things away but doesnt see how it affects the other person. How can a single mum afford a mortgage or rent, have a job and sort childcare. In theory as are putting a lot of people on to benefits when really they need to be looking at helping families.

Sorry to moan but just a niggling thing x

Rainbow I couldn't agree more. For many men it's a feeling of isolation and depression that contributes to the offence but they are immediately made even more isolated when police and especially ss get involved. I wish there was more research done into this online offending as its getting more and more widespread but most assessments or help is based on contact offences and this is different. There's also a lot of comparison with addiction but it's not really like that either. Although rates are going up nobody seems interested in why. Until then, these men are still offending and not getting the right help.

Yes definitely. I can understand why the websites arent being contacted to tell them. It's like Facebook if anything was put on there then it gets reported straight away

We need to help these people so that their addiction doesnt become worse. Also I've heard people have viewed etc for years but police take ages to contact the person which is then when it becomes too late. SS are too busy worrying about the what ifs rather than helping those children out there where it's obvious they are being abused
