Hello

Just wondering for those with convictions, have they found employment, which companies are willing to take people with convictions on etc? I'm just worried with the coronavirus that a lot of redundancies are being made. It's hard finding a job at the best of times but with a conviction it will be harder.

It can be a struggle since many ask for conviction info. But it isn't impossible. unlock.org provide help in this area.

My partner managed to get a job as a civil engineer with a small firm that didn't ask. He also looked into whether the company works on public funded projects and they don't so unlikely to do a background check.

Probation were not helpful. Don't really think it is in their remit. They offered my partner help with his CV and training but he has a degree and they said there wasn't much they could offer since he quite qualified.

Thanks for your reply. My husband has a job at the moment and his company are aware but I'm just so worried about redundancies. He was so lucky to get this job that he probably wont be as lucky next time x
