Hi emotionallydrained,

I am sorry to hear that this has happened, I am imagine now is a very difficult and distressing time for you so I am pleased you are reaching out for support. You have mentioned that most of the posts you have read relate to the access of illegal images rather than contact offences, this is because this forum is designed for the partners/family and friends of those who have committed internet based offences against children.

Therefore, although I am sure you would find the other forum users very supportive, this forum is not designed for those dealing with family/friends who have committed contact offences. So in order to get the best support for you and your situation I encourage you to contact our anonymous and confidential helpline on 0808 1000 900. Our trained helpline operators will be best placed to provide you with advice and support to help you through this time, as well as understand why your ex-partner might have behaved in this way.

Alternatively, you can send us an anonymous email here: https://contactus.stopitnow.org.uk/.

Kind regards,

Lucy

Hi, although the forum is designed for those who's family members have viewed images, there are a few other ladies on here like myself who's partners or family members have been arrested/ charged for contact offences eg talking to underage minors online and/or arranging to meet. So if you did want any advice there maybe someone who could offer it, or understand your situation.
Also the advice line were very helpful when I rang them.
