hey everyone
I am just wanting to know peoples outcomes with the charge of IIOC my friend got the knock in 2019 and the investigation is nearly over but due to his mental health they don't know how to deal with him as he's very unstable so my question is what has been your loved ones/friends outcome for iioc just trying to know much as possible so I can help him best as possible.

First it depends on what categories were found, e.g.A have a tougher outcome, and I assume they are pleading guilty? If so that will go in their favour but only slightly.
Best to prepare for the worst (custodial sentence) because you can never really know how the judge will be on the day. The judge should assess mitigating circumstances (rehabilitation for example).
If prison isn't not the outcome it is likely to be a suspended sentence and maybe community service (the hours differ, my partner got 200hoirs which I think is on the higher scale).
Then there is the sex register and the SHPO. A probation officer would also be assigned and a police officer (if a sentence). I found it was better getting the sentencing out the way. Looking for a job was tricky but it is not impossible. We live mostly normal lives.

Thanks and yes he is pleading guilty the reason its taking longer is because they don't know how to deal with him due to his mental health he said they may be some cat A but he seems to think theirs mainly cat B images and some vidoes but its took 2 years upto now and then it could take another 3-6 months if the cps decide to take it on so will the time work in his favour regarding an sentence or not.
