Arrested - panicking

As I've posted here, the knock came in March. For whatever reason, husband has been allowed to stay in the home (and we're trying to work through this), so we've been able to live semi-normally within the safety plan. This morning the police came to arrest him. We obviously knew this was coming but had no idea of when it would happen, so I'm freaking out, partly because we stupidly haven't finished preparing for him to leave (he hasn't found anywhere to live yet, etc).
Today is stressful anyway because it's our child protection conference this afternoon. Our 6 year old is going for an overnight playdate so I'll have time to myself, but can anyone give me some words of reassurance? I've been too scared to tell anyone local about what's happening so can't message a friend. I'll call the hotline later but am waiting to drop kiddie off so can't call now. Police are going to call me with an update in a couple of hours.

Hi Lenore. Where are you based? I haven't heard of police arranging am arrest before. I have heard people being asked to come to the station to be arrested otherwise they would bring them in.
