My father in law has just been sentenced to 9 years for historical offenses. He was arrested 2 years ago! It has hit me like a 10 ton lorry He says he is innocent and my mother in law believes him! I have been signed off work with stress there is no thought for how it is affecting my husband and myself and trying to keep it from my 7 year old is the hardest thing in the world he has just disappeared from his life he hadn’t asked any questions until Xmas day and he was told (not by me) that grandad has gone to work away I don’t know do I need talk with him? I don’t want him thinking people just disappear from life. As far as I’m concerned he will never see him again.
