Hi folks this might be a horrible topic but I need help. My ex partner is awaiting trail however is out on bail. We shared a dog together and he quite often comes and walks him for me when I'm working. I've heard rumors that a couple of his charges are cat A. When I looked this up it said it included beastiality. I do trust him with my dog but a part of me is terrified he's hurting him what do I do?? I don't know wether to ask him or if he'd just lie anyway

Hi,

My ex was looking at animals too and I have a dog, I asked him if he'd abused her, he said no but I would not trust him with her, he asks me if he can take her for walks, but I can't trust what he would do to her, because they can't tell you if anything is happening to them.

I'm not sure that somone looking at something online is a good predictor of them acting out that behaviour in real life. I'm a gay guy I've looked at straight porn both accidently and on purpose, but I don't have any desire to sleep with a woman. It's the same with horror films and video games. Playing a game where I shoot dead lots of people, hasn't turned me into a serial killer as yet. Obviously watching all of those things are perfectly legal, but I'm not sure the illegality would make a difference in terms of a person likely to inact what they see.

I completely understand that, I play shooting games on Xbox and watch horrors and I don't want to act it out, but when someone is getting turned on by animals being raped their brains are wired differently and I'm not sure I could trust that they wouldn't act it out, it's just me being extra cautious, I would feel terrible if I let him have her and something did happen.

My partner has a charge relating to viewing animal abuse (it is a separate charge to those for iioc). What annoys me is that this aspect to his offending was never addressed by the courts when deciding the sentencing and no protections in place for animals, e.g. ban from having pets. It has never ever been discussed from what I know.

I am an animal lover and it sickens me that my partner has seen animals as well as children being abused. He says he has no interest in animals or acting out on them (same with children). I believe he didn't view much and he got off on the taboo nature of it, if that makes sense.

Why do the police, courts and probation show no concern to animals? They deserve consideration in my opinion. I trust my partner tho and we dont have a pet yet.

Animal abuse footage and images are rarely spoken about but it could be quite common for those who seek very taboo topics for sexual gratification. My step dad even openly admitted last night that he went looking with his colleagues years ago to see what kind of footage is out there. He didn't seem to know that what he did was illegal- another example of why there needs to be better education on porn.

I wouldbe interested to see if anyone here knows of a support service for animal aspect of extreme porn and illegal viewing. But like I said there doesn't seem to be any concern over it. Ofc we need to protect children but there is little to nothing with regards to animals.i guess it is just lumped together with support for breaking extremly poor porn viewing habits

I believe that there should be a public record somewhere. But you will need to know the court that sentenced him and the date. If they haven't been sentenced yet I don't think the charges are public.

If sentenced and on suspicion you could ask his probation officer? Sorry I cant be much help...Lucy faithful might be able to help
