I think in impact statement could be the same as character statement? There are templates online or the solicitor can provide a structure. I did one for my partner and his friends did the same. Basically it is a way to state what the offender has done to rehabilitate and what they have done to better themselves to prevent offending again. It is not for trying to sway the judges decision e.g. Say what sentence you think they deserve. It can also highlight what kinda if person they were before the knock and possible reasons for offending.
And as stated above the magistrates is for the plea hearing and within a month typically to crown court for sentencing. Once that is done it is one chapter closed and the next chapter is living with a sentence (either suspended or prison), register and shpo.
