Hi,
I'm reluctant to post too much when it's a public forum. I'm finding this all so difficult to cope with.
My dad has been sentenced for historical rape.
It's taken me a long time to find any service that isn't just for the victims or the offenders. And I'm not sure if this is the right place either.
I am so overwhelmed. I fear for my children's safety. The paper reported we support him. Strangers typed comments about raping and killing us too.
Everytime things get quiet, someone else finds out and gets in touch again.
It's been almost a year, but I'm still crying. How are we went meant to process this and the fear of people who want to cause us harm, finding out?
Part of me just feels like telling the whole world, and getting it over and done with so that we don't have to live in fear anymore, the other part of me is too scared of the repercussions that it would have on my children.
