Has anyones partner been invited to voluntary interview as the investigating officer forgot to ask questions regarding something?

All devices have come back and nothing else on them apart from this one single conversation.

It seems total incompetence on their side! Solicitor says do it as even though voluntary they could still come and arrest him.

I feel like they are trying to catch him out? Even though he has been completely cooperative from day one.

But has anyone else had this?
