I 100% get what you are saying, we are trying to do what's best for the kids! I assume you mean in 3 years he will have done his time on register or similar but that means nothing to ss as they work on risk hence why they can put in such measures before they are even found guilty. So I think you are right getting that assessment made Why should you have all the childcare if there is a possible option of him doing some to take the pressure of you. Also if you decide not to stay in relationship he can still have the kids. It's like reopening up a wound but it's definitely what I would do in my situation
