Hi rainbow

i can answer this as I've just discussed it all with my sons social worker.

visits, minimum three per week. One from police to check devices, one from supervising officer and one from social worker. You also have to visit their office once a week. You are never told what time they will turn up. They just appear. The visits start at once a week and go down after a period to once a month and then once every three months. It can take over a year to get down to low and three monthly visits.

risk. Everyone is high to begin with . They assess you by the way you live . Whether you have friends, a job, support etc. Having friends is good as is support and having a job. Isolating yourself and having nothing to do is negative in their eyes. They ask all sorts of things to determine if your risk can go down or not. Some of the questions can be very personal. They have been known to ask about your sex life and about how often you might relieve yourself. They usually want to know what you've been up to that week and Amy plans you may have for the following week. All of this is recorded and looked at for the purposes of possibly lowering your risk category. That's how it works here in Scotland anyway is what the social worker told me.
I hope this helps x

The PO visits to the office are once a week at first. Every one is different and my partner was deemed medium to low risk so police visits have only happened about fives times in a year. We did have them come over to install software on his laptop to pick up any offending.

The PO was quite flexible since my partner works. He went in after work and during covid had phone calls. After 6 months he catches up with his PO twice a week.

And as previously mentioned the police can rock up whenever but sometimes they let us know. They need to do at a minimum amount of surprise visits. Unfortunately we missed one recently coz we were out. But no issues. Each visit the phone is checked. With the new software checks for the laptop won't be needed much I think

Thank you. My husband is halfway through a 3 year order. Since this year hes had 2 visits to po which was feb and sept and maybe 1 chat on the phone. I feel it isnt consistent especially when saying hes medium.

Also with devices being checked it was feb and april so far. I would have assumed more visits

My husband visits his once every couple of weeks. He's had his devices checked once since Feb, supervising officer was lovely and said he wouldn't say when he'd come but if he couldn't get hold of him he'd call to make an appointment.
