What happens..
My husband is under investigation, released without bail.. It could take a long time and I accept that... But when it is eventually resolved are we dragged to court? Does it always go to court? I really cannot go to court and risk this slipping out into the papers. I couldn't look at anyone or face anything.
He has co-operated with the police and we've been told that the likely hood of him receiving anything more than SOR and a caution would be unlikely.

You are right in thinking being release under investigation will be a long wait it can be many months years in some cases. If he receives a caution then I beleive this does not require court I haven't heard of many getting cautions if I'm honest but fingers crossed for you. If any charges are brought then I will go to court and it's then pot luck if press are there and if they report on the case.

Just a heads up on our situation knock was June 2020 charge was suppose to be Aug, this was extended to Sept. Then it was extended by 2 weeks. Court is in January for plea hearing then 4 weeks after that will be sentencing. I think it depends where you are different authorities are quicker than others. I too don't wish to go to court I couldn't face it. And I daily feel. Anxious with the worry of the papers photographing him and people recognising him. Sending you lots of love I hope you have support xxx

Well I've just gone down the rabbit hole... In my area it looks like these cases are always reported

In similar situations yesterday husband arrested release pending investigations, I'm so deverstated, my world is broken I keep thinking I'm dreaming, he has told his mum who spoke to me he didn't do it he clicked a link a year ago, now I don't know but I can't imagine that warrants an arrest and everything so am I being lied to is he covering up what's happened

We too are in the SE, Essex to be exact and have been waiting 2 years 5 months with not a word from the police since his arrest, tho he wasn't arrested in our county it was a county far away from where we live. He was at a meeting place and was confronted by vigilantes, tho luckily it was not live streamed!
I follow reports online and yes it seems theses crimes are reported with no regards to the families , tho I haven't seen anything for months in the press and I can't believe there has been nobody in court for any of these crimes in that time.

Over two years is ludicrous... You shouldn't be made to wait that long at all... The press don't have respect for anything I find... Have you heard nothing from the police as to why the wait has been this long?

No we haven't heard why the long wait from the police. My partner has a solicitor ready to go, but he has said not to contact the police, just leave it, so I presume he is caught up in the massive back log there apparently is!
Well time will tell, I just hope this time my partner has spent rehabilitating with courses and therapy will go in his favour.

Honestly that is so wrong... What part of the country are you both in to wait two years if you don't mind my asking?
I waited 1 yr 4months from the first knock to hearing from them again and getting a second knock.

So rubbish to hear it is taking so long, my Ex is also in SE Essex so it seems like it could be a REALLY long wait now he's just released pending investigation aswell
