Hi All,

2 weeks ago my husband was summonds for his charge, and is due in cour next year.

SS are now discussing putting my son back on a CPP. We do not live with my husband, and he is only allowed supervised contact.

We were originally on a CPP, but got down graded to CIN when we moved out of the family home.

Just wanting to know can they do this? as it feels like my life is taking a step back?

SS have also mentioned that my husband may not be allowed to ever have unsupervised contact, for as long as he is on the register.

Surely this would be a decision for the probation officer not SS?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm so sorry you are in this situation. I have just had my case closed by children's services and it was one of the most stressful parts of this hell! Did they say why? When they started talking about it what was your response? They are looking at your ability to protect and to see that potentially there is a risk. Do you think you got that across? I really hope this is not coming across as judgement as it certainly isn't its hopefully come across as support. I'm just going off the feedback I got from the police and children's Services and why mine was closed (for now)!

Because I told sw that my husband would never hurt our daughter, she took that as me saying I didn't believe he was potentially a risk to her..

how they twist things and get away with it is beyond me.

you must feel like your walking on eggshells when SS and sw contact you..

I feel now that I have to choose my words very carefully and be wary of what I say

Just an update for you all.

Son was put back on a CPP, as SS claim they did not have all information thru from police prior to charge.

We are up for review in a few weeks so will see what the outcome will be this time.

I was also very annoyed with SS when told a CIN plan is voluntary, and i could have told them at anytime i no longer wanted their help.
