Has anyone moved away?

I just wondered if anyone had moved from their local area for a fresh start where people don't know what has happened?

we moved away before the final court hearing to somewhere where nobody knew us in the next county. It helped a lot with my anxiety and nervousness but I regret leaving my home where I had lived most of my life. Several ladies on here have stayed out and stuck it out for which I admire them. If i could rewind I would have likely stayed out and waited to see what happened. We panicked and left three weeks after it cam out in our village. We had no backlash but the locals did not know the full story at that time. Who knows what would have happened if they had known that he'd communicated with an underage girl. We may have been targeted after our son went to prison but we will never now know x

We are in that situation at the moment. Thinking about moving. My husbands case hit local paper and online 18/19 October. We had no back lash at the time but last Thursday 29th early hours of the morning we had a brick thrown through our window.
to say we were scared was an understatement. We are lucky if you can call it that, the our local beat officer came quick and have our address on alert. We have been supplied with panic alarms, window alarms and door alarms. Also personal attack alarms and currently being assessed for cameras and fir proof letter box. The liaison police officer assigned to my husband could have put this all in place before all this happens but told us not to worry. But glad to say local beat officer has done more to help us.
yes to move away would be easier, nobody knowing. Not thinking everyone is looking at us when shopping. We know the truth they don't. This is our family home and why should we make it easier for the keyboard warriors. But it's hard! We are still thinking about it though. ????
