Pornhub: Mastercard severs links with pornography site https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-55267311

Can anyone tell me why the shareholders of porn hub are not arrested? Why are their families not going through the hell we are??? They are the 'drug' pushers!!!

I'm sorry, but this upsets me so much when I know what we're all going through!

That was a bit of an emotional rant! I appreciate that all the sites are all about making money. But when I read about people on here who have family members who have downloaded legal porn and got unwanted content too, but not reported it, then got arrested, and their lives destroyed, it seems very unfair that the corporations are allowed to get away with their illegal acts of possession, Also by allowing this content and the searches for 'underage' it makes it available and normalises it for people who suffer from porn addiction, and then many of them end up commiting offences and again lives are destroyed.
It is very easy and cheap policing to arrest the end user 'low hanging fruit'. As long as this continues the problem will continue to grow. The authorities need to start addressing the other end of the Chain, and then maybe children will become safer!
One of the biggest problems is communicating about this subject. This article and American Express stance is a good start I guess. Let's hope some brave politician or journalist will pick this up.xx

Agree Lee1969. One big thing that bothers me,now I am aware of it, is how society encourages our girls to look like porn stars! The big lips, the pouts, the head tilts and the sexy looks into the camera! It didn't bother me before all this, as I felt that we all have the right to look however we want to, and I still do to a degree. That individual quirky look, letting noone and nothing define you. The 'porn star look' seems to be a uniform now, so it's more than individuality.

I was sad to see a friends very young child having to pose for a school photos, in a provocative pose...it was not natural for a child of that age. Years ago the photographer would have been questioned and corrected, but this is now the norm!!
I feel like I have turned into some prude now....I never was before, but then I didn't know the dangers I guess! x

I had never heard of people getting caught up in iioc from downloading legal porn until I came across this forum, it is horrible. I also hate hate hate how many porn vids show step family members and teens etc. And these are the first suggestions (well for me even tho I make sure I never select these videos). It is so easy to find legal porn that is close to proper tabboo and illegal content that it can easily fed the curiosity to go that step further.

More education is needed and the industry cracked down upon. I would like 'homemade' porn uploads to be banned and official porn to be better regulated.

I feel so angry about this

so if they press charges against someone who has Possession of illegal images or have viewed them what is that achieving? It's like charging someone who takes drugs but doing nothing about the drug dealer

I cannot believe the titles of some of them, it's about time they are taken to court.

Apparently porn hub has removed over 10m unverified videos as a crack down on abuse and unconsented footage. But I hear it was a move because the card companies refusing to allow payments unless they made improvements.

Saw someone on FB comment also about the prolific step family porn and I had to look away from the responses. One included saying people should not kink shame those who enjoy step family porn! I doubt these type of porn will never be removed (one can hope) but it should at least be out of sight and out mind- i.e. not on the homepage!

But I believe it is one of the most popular topics searched on the search bar...which might explain why it appears on the homepage. But is this because there is a genuine demand or has porn the industry made people think this is what people want because of the prominent exposure?
