My sons case will be heard around the Autumn. My son was sexually abused from the age of 8 for 3 years then at the age of 18 viewed images. He is in a very bad place emotionally and tbh I wasn't in a great place myself even before he disclosed the abuse. What I know I need to do is get stronger emotionally. I'd like some tips if you have any, coping strategies.

I'm on the waiting list for counselling which should start towards the end of the year and I have spoken with the GP. I'm not a great fan of either though so I'm looking for things that I can do for myself, strategies which I can put in place. I know there are some incredibly strong people on here and I'd be really grateful for any suggestions.

Thanks for replying Lee really appreciate it. Yes, dealing with the fact my son was abused on my watch has been hard to deal with and I will never get over the heartbreak of this for him. The counselling is so long as it's trauma counselling, as I said I wasn't in a particularly good place before this from previous life event. Find person centred just doesn't work for me. I'll follow your suggestions and look back. Lockdown makes it harder doesn't it with exercise etc. Thanks again for your ongoing support. It means so much
