Many of us ask why do social media giants allow this, it one of the first question I thought about when I started this journey. Only when reading through discussion did I find a comment from Lee about the bill. Thanks Lee! There is no links on any discussion so thought I would post it as a seperate thread. Fingers crossed when this is given royal assent that things start getting better for everyone.

The big social media companies have the money and tech to do better screening. My partner has software on his laptop now that will pick up phrases and can pick up pics and images that will flag to the police. It is a bit over sensitive we have been warned but better to be safe than sorry.
There needs to be better tracking of those who upload the originals. Or send copies etc.

Isn't it funny when you see a post about covid at the moment and it comes up NHS fact checker to see if the post is a reliable source, it's like anything to do with the vaccine is scanned for misinformation, surely if that can be done the same can be done with what is posted online to social media platforms?
