So my story is it's a long one sorry

knock happens in July 2020. Husband sent Messages sent to a 12 year old girl online. He wasn't home when the police knock so they meet him in a Service station for a "chat" he handed his phone over and was told to carry on with life....

we live with my mum n dad my 2 sons and there 3 Forster children so my husband said he would move out (the police didn't ask him to move out).

we live in a different area to where the foster children are fromI was ask to take part in a family assessment and 3 days later the foster child ss said they were not happy for my husband to have any contact with the foster children so my sw put a safty plan in place to say no contact at the family home. Family assessment completed in 15 weeks not 9! And my boys r place on a CIN plan.

fast forward to November 2020 and my parents decided they want to give up fostering and children move out. I ask my sw if my husband can now have contact at the family home as the plan says he can't come home due to foster children. I'm told no till myself and my parents have a compositing to protect assessment. Book for next Tuesday!!!

my mum has just had all her paper work today from her fostering and in there it says that that a referral was made in April 2020 about somone In the house messaging a 12 year old. A review of LCS was completed and no previous safeguarding concerns related to the household. Case cloesd! ( we were not aware of this call)

so my real question is why did social services not get involved till after the police knock the door in July?! And if it was closed back in April why open it in July when they have no new evidence just that my husband phone is being downloaded

The police didn't say they had a warrant for his phone? They just ask for it?

and I will edit my post

Ok there was no arrest they just ask him to meet for a chat? Ask for his phone and he handed it over didn't ask if he had any other Devices. When they came to the house first they ask if he was home I said no and then they ask for his noble number and left!

my head has been all over the place the police told me in July 2020 that it would all be wrap up by xmas and that they had no issue with husband being at home or being around his own kids but ss haven't and won't ask that question. But now I have it in black and white that the police have no issues I can't see how they can still refuse contact at home. I can't wait to see what happens Tuesday at my capacity to protect assessment....
