Travelling overseas when on SOR
Notifications OFF
Hi
Does anyone have any experience of travelling to Australia when registered on SOR? My husband's suspended sentence is now expired, but he will be on the register for some years yet. Will he be able to obtain a visitor's visa? Will he have to declare his conviction as he enters the country?
Any advice would be most welcome.
Thanks

I agree with Lee that unlock is the best source and they may have fourm posts about it. Also check with the police liaison because they hopefully have dealt with others who have looked to go to Australia and similar countries before.
I read an article a while back on travelling when you have previously footed such offences like this. A grentlemen sentenced had passed a while back and he applied to go to America, was rejected... After a few years he reapplied and got accepted... I think it's all due to time and circumstances of the situation ..
