My husband was sentenced yesterday for 10mths.Everybody thought suspended sentence but the judge just could not get past the amount and time. So I have such mixed emotions, relief this part is over, anger at him for putting me through this and I miss him. Xx

sorry to hear about what your going through. I know it's not easy as I've been through similar. My son was arrested for communication offence. Everyone thought suspended sentence but he was sent to prison. His sentence was very harsh but we have had to live with it. The only good thing that came from it was relief that it was over after he was sentenced. I had a very bad few months and then I accepted he was in prison and that I could do nothing about it. I did not welcome the press printing his case but in another way it gave me relief that I wouldn't gave to lie to anyone I may run into from my old life. Now we have to start our lives afresh when my son comes home. Your feelings will settle down over time because at the moment it's still very raw and a shock. That will fade with time x

Totally, its out there for the world to see and it's not as bad as it could be. He knew he was going to prison because I think deep down he understood how bad it was. Though he might get suspended semtence due to the fact it was possession and making, but it went on for so long and so many, the judge just though he like to same thing to many times and must have a preference. So this is something we will need to work on. I do think it's a porn addiction but I think he will need to dig deeper xx

Possision and down loading images, made an example off really but he did it and we always new the out come could be this. Judge could not get over the numbers and he had a drop box. He also went for thr same type of image / video . Judge did not think he had excepted that he had a deposition toward Young children. But all the hard work he did went in his favour so 5 mths is not to bad. Don't think he could have done more really but he did it and must just get past this so we can move on. Just need to talk to him now and let him know I am here waiting hugs xx
I hate how inconsistent sentences are.
The person that's led to me being here had downloaded almost 10k images and videos in all 3 categories and it was over an extended period of time. Yet he got a suspended sentence. So now he can just carry on as normal while I try to pick up the pieces from the news breaking the kids' hearts.

On the same day someone got a suspended sentence for over 86000 inadges and distribution and got suspended sentence. It is just luck on the day. Hugs
