Update: Nothing Found, Investigation Closed
Notifications OFF
I wanted to give an update to my original post (I think it was in December) because I find the outcomes interesting. It has been almost 5 months since the knock. I am in the United States. My husband's devices were seized because Snapchat reported there were 2 images found shared on an account he had used in the past. Husband was adamant that he never knowingly saw or shared any images and didn't think he was even still using the Snapchat account with the images were reported. Here we are after 5 months of pure hell and I get the call this morning that nothing was found on any of his devices, to come pick them up, and the investigation will be closed. Our nightmare is finally over, and we finally have our lives back. This situation completely ruined the birth of my first child in January for me. I told the investigator that when I picked up the devices. I dont know why these investigations take so long, and I really don't think they understand the absolute hell they put families through with dragging this out. Hugs to all of you on here. It really helped to read your stories and comments when I was questioning my sanity over the last 5 months. God bless.
Hi Feelinghopelessinus,
Im so so please for you! You've got the dream we all wished for and hope for! I'm so sorry you had to experience this during the birth of your first child and I agree that families feel this so much more than the professionals realise.
I hope you can move forward now. Don't play down the trauma now that this is over or because of your positive outcome, the pain and fair are so real regardless of what happens at the end. Continue to reach out here if you need to.
