Phoning the helpline

Hi All
I've heard many of you say that you can never get through to the helpline...
I have used them many many times over the past almost 11 months.. Today included. They are very calming and reassuring when I have a wobble.
The recorded message that comes on when the call is answered... I think many people put the phone down then.. But... Don't.. You are in a queuing system and your call will get answered. Xx

iam promising myself that 1day I will ring the helpline I just need to build up the courage
I needed to offload a couple of weeks back when we received an unannounced visit from police checking my husband was adhering to bail conditions. I had something of a meltdown realising just how little control we currently have over our lives and it brought back the trauma of the knock and my husband's subsequent arrest. Anyway their visit inadvertently divulged some information about my husband's behaviour that suggested he had not been completely honest with me and I felt betrayed all over again.
So many thanks to the staff of the helpline for listening. I really don't think there was anyone else I could have spoken with and felt so safe and unjudged. Once I'd gotten that off my chest it enabled me to discuss the matter calmly ( relatively calmly) with my other half and I felt we made some important progress in trying to remap our relationship.
So if you can't get through to the helpline on the first attempt keep trying!
