My dad has had his plea hearing I think he and he is back for sentencing very soon

If any of you know my story will know I'm heavily pregnant

I've not known much about anything going on just with me being pregnant my family have wanted to protect me from stress

I'm now so anxious about this upcoming court date - I want it to be over so bad, want to he able to get on but the media is absolutely killing me I'm terrified of people knowing.. the thought of looking at my phone and seeing messages having links sent to me

I haven't told my boyfriend because he has entail health issues and he really wouldn't cope well I know I should but that's how I want to deal with it

I'm praying it won't be in the media ????

Fingers crossed :(

Hi BS,

I understand the stress and being heavily pregnant, I had social services involved towards the end of my pregnancy and I honestly didn't sleep a wink! but my advice is, if your on maternity leave yet sleep when you can, put your feet up as much as you can, watch films and read books. Don't feel like you have to do anything, it's the best way to keep your mind occupied away from the situation but your body resting!

in regards to the media, my dads story did come put, and it was scary but it honestly does pass! he hid away for about a month or two, then slowly started going back out into society, I explained it to the people I cared about knowing but otherwise no-one said a word to any of us including my dad! also with COVID atm there might be a chance they don't appear, they do say try and not get a photo. So AFTER my dad was in the paper it was suggested to us to take a change of clothes, or wait a bit to leave the courtroom, I can't actually tell you the effectiveness of this, but it's what the policeman told us when it was to late.
please, don't worry to much, whatever happens is out of your control, focus on you and your growing baby, and just try and enjoy the last bit of your pregnancy- easier said then done cause I was an absolute whale at the end! Haha xx

Hi, I was in the same position.

Heavily pregnant at the time of my husbands sentancing.

Please take time for yourself to relax.

My husbands outcome did reach the press unfortunately but as said above tell your dad to wait in the loos for a while after sentancing and take a change of clothes just in case there are photographers.

I came off social media for a few weeks so I wouldn't have to see people's reactions or look at the comments on news articles which helped me lots.

It does die down and won't last forever if it does appear in the media.

Please make sure you take the time for yourself and get lots of rest as it really will help you.

Don't be afraid to post and ask for support from the ladies here.

Sending hugs.

Hi ladies

Thankyou for your kind words it's it's a horrendous time

Its finally over...

Doesn't appear there was any media in court or waiting outside - there were 2 big court cases on alongside

I pray that this means it's not going in - hope not tempting fate

I'm so thankful this horrible journey is over

Thankyou everyone for your support over the past year
