Does anyone know how I can find out what was said in court? I have spoken to the court who have told me what he was found guilty and the sentence but will it be on a public record anywhere what his defence was or how long he has been doing this for. I can't cope with not knowing his reasons or if he was doing it before he met me. If I could have attended court I would have been able to know this but feel like I have been denied the right to know.

Hi, you can ask for a transcript from the court, it does cost money but not too much. I think I went online to get the form to fill out, then send it to the court. I went to court the first time to find out want exactly he had done, but he breached his condition and went to court again but I couldn't go that time, that's why I requested the transcript. X

Thanks Cher. What information do you need tonhave to fill the form in and roughly how much did it cost? I'm sure it won't be pleasant to read but I need to know. Where did you get the form?

Hi BECCY,

The form is a EX107 they need quite a bit of information, name of judge, name of solicitor, court case number, your name and address and his name and address, the price varies depending on how many pages. I didn't have to do it in the end because Social services called the next day with the details and new restrictions x

I don't have all that info. I know the case number ( the police told me) and the date and his address but I don't know the name of the judge or solicitor.

How would they expect me to know that when I didn't even know when it went to court until afterwards. The police gave me the wrong date which meant I missed it.

Might be worth a try anyway.

Thanks

If you email the courts with the case number they should be able to give you the judge's name. X
