Finally an outcome!

After nearly 12 months of hell.
My dad was given a suspended sentance, 30 hours community service and 7 years on the register today.
He was charged with talking to a minor online that was a police decoy and 4 images.
Apparently the judge was understanding but the CPS wanted to ...in my dads words 'hang him'
he had a good solicitor and he fought dads case and talked like he knew him.
the judge also mentioned that it was dads character references we all provided which sealed the deal. He mentioned how lucky he was to have an exceptional supportive family!
so now we start with our new normal I have a broken dad, now a different dad, someone I'll have to get to know again. The pain and suffering my mum has endured I will never know .. she now has a different marriage, one that she didn't want.
It's not over merely starting .. but I am so grateful that we are done with the courts and dad didn't get sent to prison.
to all of the families just starting out with this torture and the ones still stuck in it ...keep strong and carry on because that's all you can do. ??. Peace.

I need to find out the exact charges. shpo etc.
I did read online in the same week a man of 65 got sent to prison only the day before my dad in same courts for communication but it went on over 3 weeks and was quite horrific. But still it shows you older men are being sent to prison and that's what I was afraid of.
Now I am worried more about my mum, after this nightmare journey she is left living with a man she doesn't know and doesn't trust.
