Although I have no experience of prison , my son was cautioned for an offence recently, it never went to court, so worries like you have, I am not able to advise on . However, as a sadmum of a 23 year old going through this sort of thing, i wanted to support you. There are no winners in these situations , as much as I do not condone and find this behaviour apporant I do feel sad for all concerned , it seems to be increasing and can affect ANY family. I wish you well and I am sure there are other mums who could advise you. Why do you feel he is going to prison for a long time? Has he been sentenced ? Maybe the judge will be lenient taking all into consideration and it may not be as bad as you think. All the very best .
