IIOCs - curiosity vs. sexual interest

Hi, everyone. Can anyone explain please if there's a difference between looking at IIOCs out of curiosity or for sexual gratification?
My partner had a few IIOCs on his device and is claiming curiosity and shock factor rather than a sexual interest in children. I don't know what to think.

I am sure, it's just illegal to view anything like that in any situation and there is no dividing line .

My son has said the same, to be honest I believe him he had a way to escape . I'm 100% sure he's not interested I just think he fell down a hole after viewing porn.

Very true, it's absolutely horrendous.. how old is your son, mine is 21 . How is your son doing ? My son is due in magistrates in July.
